Michael is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Monash University with the ARC Centre of Excellence for 21st Century Weather. His research interests are all things weather, meteorology and climate and the atmospheric processes underpinning them. His current focus is on synoptic-scale atmospheric dynamics including Rossby waves, extratropical cyclones, cut-off lows and subtropical rainfall dynamics.

This website contains a suite of weather and climate resources for students, academics and researchers. It features synoptics charts with a variety of diagnostics from a range of freely available Numerical Weather Prediction models and ensemble forecast products. The resources contained on this webpage are intended for academic use. For official forecasts and severe weather warnings and alerts, consult your National Meteorological and Hydrological Service or relevant agency.
